We
are prone to think our own problems are harder to solve than problem of others, and therefore we accept discordant conditions as facts, and the consequent suffering as unavoidable and as something to be borne with the best grace possible.

a testimony meeting one Wednesday evening, several individuals spoke of certain verses of Scripture or quotations from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

terse and crisp and noble and true are a vast number of utterances in the Bible! In Proverbs we read concerning "him that hath an evil eye" that "as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
Advancing
in our study of Christian Science we learn with more clearness that substance is Spirit.
At
every point in one's experience in Christian Science, there is much of grace and truth to rejoice over.
All over the world men and nations are striving after self-government of some sort or another.
Under the caption, "Miracles and Medicine," is a quotation from a sermon which a minister refers to numerous places in the Bible which he claims limit healing to the apostolic age and record God as indorsing medicine, medical treatment, and physicians as the properly authorized channels for healing work.
Christian Science gives a clear, practical understanding of the Christ-teaching.
The remarks on Christian Science contributed by a physician and appearing in a recent issue, exhibit such a spirit of tolerance, and such an evident desire to be fair, that they merit my sincere respect, even though I cannot agree with all his conclusions.

speaking of Jesus, Luke says, "The child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him;" and John tells us, "The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ;" while the psalmist in referring to the Christ writes: "Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
Nearly two years ago I began to investigate Christian Science, and words cannot express my gratitude to God for the many blessings I have received.
