It is with a very grateful heart that I testify to the healing...
It is with a very grateful heart that I testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. I suffered for some years from throat trouble; there was a growth on the windpipe which gradually began to flatten it and to cause continual irritation, also choking attacks which almost amounted to suffocation. The best advice obtainable was sought, and at last I was advised to have an operation, which I objected to very much and put off as long as possible. Consent was given at last because of the great fear that one of these attacks would end my life. The operation, however, did not relieve me of the alarming attacks, and for three years I struggled on. I went to London for further advice, only to be told that half of my throat was paralyzed and there was no hope of recovery.
Just here a friend told me of her wonderful healing in Christian Science, and asked me to try it. At first I began to fear it would take from me the only God I knew, but I bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and began to read it very carefully and prayerfully, and soon found that Christian Science teaches us that God is the all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving Principle. About three weeks later it suddenly dawned on me that I was healed; there was not a bit of evidence of the old trouble. That was five years ago and I have enjoyed good health ever since. It is a great joy to be able to lead a busy, useful life after being an invalid so many years. Many minor ailments have been promptly overcome by the application of the truth.
I am very, very grateful for the understanding I have gained of the wondrous love of God through the teachings of Christian Science.—(Miss) Alice Mary Moore, Monkseaton, Northumberland, England.
