Christian Science found me when to mortal sense all was darkness. I often wished I could leave this life of sickness and discord. To-day I am more than grateful that Christian Science was brought to my home. Through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of a condition of the eyes which the doctor said would result in blindness. After reading for two weeks I was able to lay away my glasses and have had no need of them since. I have been healed of a very severe nervous condition for which I had been treated by many physicians, with only temporary relief. This healing occurred nearly six years ago and has been permanent. I have also been freed from sick headaches, from which I had suffered since I was a small child. I used to be confined to the bed several days at a time with these attacks, but it has been several years since I have been in bed even half a day on account of them. The physical healing seemed slow to mortal sense, but this made me study the literature more earnestly, and I was thus getting the spiritual healing which was most needed,—the overcoming of wrong thoughts, such as condemning and judging those around me.

I know Christian Science is a wonderful protection, for I have proved it. One night when alone in the house I was overcome by gas from the coal stove and was unconscious the greater part of the night. When I rallied I was holding to these words: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." A friend called the next morning, and while she read the ninety-first psalm I was entirely freed.

Words feebly express my thankfulness to God for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who sacrificed so much to give us this beautiful truth that enables us to work out our salvation. I am also grateful to the loving friends who have helped me on my journey from sense to Soul.
