I have received so much help from the testimonies in the Sentinel and Journal that I wish to add mine to those of others who are thankful for the light as revealed to us through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I was in dense darkness, burdened by sin, disease, fear, worry, and all the ills belonging to the Adam race. I have been healed of nervousness, chronic appendicitis, bowel trouble, neuralgia, a serious spinal injury, and many other discordant conditions, also imperfect eyesight, for which I had worn glasses several years. I was never so healthy in my life as I am now.

The physical healings are, however, small in comparison with the spiritual uplift. An ugly disposition has been overcome, also the habit of always being in a hurry. I used to have no love for my neighbor, only thoughts for myself; but I have learned in Christian Science that these must be gotten rid of if we wish to have that Mind in us "which was also in Christ Jesus." I have also learned to love the Bible, which had before been a closed book to me. How I delight to rely upon its promises, which I know belong to me now and not in a future state. In the passing on of my son, Christian Science enabled me to say: "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" I have the joy which the world cannot give and cannot take away.

My desire is to live so that I may never send forth a thought which would not bless, cheer, purify, or heal. I am so thankful to God and to Jesus the Way-shower. I am also grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her pure life of consecration so that a sin sick world might realize the peace "which passeth all understanding."
