In April, 1914, a friend asked me to try Christian Science
In April, 1914, a friend asked me to try Christian Science. I was suffering from catarrh of the head and had an annoying cough, such as usually accompanies tubercular trouble. The cough disappeared within a short while after treatment was applied for, but the catarrh did not yield for some time. I studied Christian Science and had many beautiful demonstrations before this ailment was overcome. For more than two years prior to my coming into Christian Science for help I could not breathe through my nostrils. Everything that could be thought of, or which was recommended to me, had been tried without any relief, but, thanks be to God, through the study of this healing truth I have learned that life is not dependent upon one's nostrils. I was also healed of weak eyes for which I had worn glasses more than six years. This healing came through the study and application of the teachings of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
In November, 1913, I took charge of an office which seemingly was in a very bad condition, but when Christian Science was applied the results were wonderful. Words are inadequate to express my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to our beloved Leader for what this teaching has done and is doing for me. The Bible is a new book; in fact, many things have become beautiful since I have learned that God is All-in-all.
