For a long time I have thought it my duty to tell of the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. One Sunday morning, over eight years ago, my husband and I started for church not knowing what one we would attend, but on the way we decided to go to the Christian Science church, as we had never done so and we had a few friends who went there. I did not seem to get anything from the reading, but there was something about that simple service held in a little hall in the business part of the town which appealed to me. A month later my husband gave me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and I immediately began to read the Lesson-Sermon every week, but not every day at first. I have never attended any other church since, for after reading the chapter on Prayer, I knew that this was the religion for me. Many trials have come into my life since then which would have been unbearble without Christian Science, but I have had perfect harmony demonstrated in my home life with the aid of a patient and loving practitioner, who helped me to see the perfect man and gave me a higher concept of man as God's image. Where discord had once been, there is now love and peace. This has meant more than the physical healings. With the help of this practitioner I was able to sell a business which I no longer wanted to continue, and the demonstration was made, proving that in God's kingdom we all have our right place.
I have had many physical healings, and to me even the so-called small things are wonderful proofs of God's care and love. A few years ago, before I had any understanding in Christian Science, I had an abscess in my ear which lasted more than a week and was very painful. Recently this same discord presented itself. As the old thought was vivid in my mind, I asked for help and the trouble was overcome. In a few hours all trace of soreness had left my ear.
Christian Science has changed my outlook on life and made me more charitable, more forgiving. Truly divine Love has met and is meeting all my needs.
