"I am instructed by our board to write and assure the Publishing Society, through you, of our deep appreciation of the good which the Christian Science literature has brought us; and to assure you further that the increased rates which you have found it necessary to put into effect will be willingly accepted, we feel confident, by this section of the field, and will not curtail in any measure the activities of our distribution committee in their efforts to extend the circulation of our periodical literature."

"When I renewed my subscription to the Monitor I thought it right to do so at the old price, but since the 1st of July is drawing near the thought has come to me that I would be reading it at the former price for almost a year. Seeing the wrongness of this I enclose check for $4 to correct this error, which you will kindly add to the $5 sent June 7."

"I have never in my experience in Christian Science realized as I do today the privilege of being a registered Christian Science practitioner, and though I have always been grateful for our literature, I appreciate it many times more and will extend an even more hearty and effectual support to our periodicals than before the new prices."
