Peterboro (Ontario) Review

It is important to observe that Christian Science is not a supplanter of Christianity, and that Mrs. Eddy was ever a faithful disciple of Christ Jesus,—in her own words, "a willing disciple at the heavenly gate, waiting for the Mind of Christ" (Science and Health, Pref., p. ix).

It is much to be desired that Christian Science be recognized for what it is,—not a creed, nor merely a denominational name, but the Science of Christianity. If it were not scientific Christianity, the supreme quest of Christendom should be to discover the principle, science, and demonstrable rules utilized by Christ Jesus. Mrs. Eddy, after years of prayerful search and study, discovered this Science by divine revelation, proved it by demonstration of healing, taught it to others, published it, and founded its institutions, and the past half century bears accumulative witness that it is properly named christian Science.
