Christ Jesus said that certain signs would follow the efforts of those who understood his teachings. Among these signs he included the healing of the sick by spiritual means. Jesus knew that "faith without works is dead;" therefore he insisted upon demonstration as the only worthy evidence of one's right to be accounted a Christian. It is possible for any sincere student to prove by demonstration that the Christianity of Jesus and the Christianity of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy are one and the same. Jesus, as a person, is no longer with us, but God, the divine Principle of Jesus' teaching, has never been absent.

If, according to the dictum of an evangelist, Christian Scientists are "deluded" for presuming to depend upon their religion to heal sickness as well as to destroy sin, they are glad to be found in the blessed company of the Founder of Christianity, who healed sickness and overcame sin by the same metaphysical process.
