I am very grateful for my knowledge of Christian Science. I was healed through the power of Truth of chronic stomach trouble and creeping paralysis, after having been pronounced incurable by some of the best physicians. I am grateful not only for this healing, but also for the understanding of the Bible and the opening up of the Scriptures. With the understanding our Lesson-Sermon gives to us the Bible has become a new and beloved book. I am thankful to God for our revered Leader, who has given us the truth in our literature. I know that an honest perusal of her book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," can lift us out of physical ills and other discordant conditions.

Becoming conscious one day that I was getting bald-headed, I decided to buy a hair tonic which a friend had recommended for overcoming the trouble. I had the mixture made and carefully applied a goodly quantity of it to my head, not only on the bald spot but all over, thinking that if it was good it would do the hair good also. I went to sleep, only to be awakened with the most unbearable stinging pains. On investigating I found my head blistered, and wherever the drug was applied I lost what hair I had left. The druggist had made a mistake in preparing the tonic. I was bald for nearly two years, and it was very trying to my pride.
