Words cannot express my gratitude for the comfort and...
Words cannot express my gratitude for the comfort and peace which has come to me through reading Science and Health, which I esteem above any worldly possession. Besides numerous other errors, an unpleasant disposition has been overcome. As a child I had a high temper and was very stubborn, always blaming some one else or my surroundings when things went wrong. My mother tried to break me of this habit, but to no avail. Not until I came into Christian Science did I realize that it was my own mental home which needed to be cleansed from wrong thinking and the habit of taking offense. When I applied the truth and stood "porter at the door of thought," as our Leader so wisely counsels us on page 392 of Science and Health, the temper soon yielded and eventually was overcome.
I am now happier and freer than ever before, but long for a better understanding of the truth and to reflect more of that Love which is universal. I look forward to the time when we shall all know the truth that makes free.
