Over five years ago I became interested in Christian Science through the healing of one of our children after he had been given up by the attending physicians, all of whom said he could not live longer than two hours. Christian Science treatment was then lovingly given, with the result that our little boy had entirely recovered and was playing in his crib within this time. As I was totally ignorant in regard to the teachings of Christian Science and its healing power, this healing seemed to me miraculous.

A desire to know more of the methods of this truth made me take up the study of the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. We discarded the use of medicine in any form, and have since then depended entirely on Christian Science in time of need. Physical, mental, and financial troubles have all been overcome through the understanding and practice of the truth.

Some of our trials would to outsiders seem to require the exercise of a great deal of faith, but we knew the all-power of Truth and the ever-presence of divine Love. In the summer of 1913 our youngest boy was attacked by a cat and severely bitten in the hands and face. Blood-poisoning set in, and as I had seen the child attacked and the condition of the animal, a great fear seemed to darken my thought; but with the loving help of a practitioner this fear was overcome, and the healing of the child was accomplished in a short time.
