Several years ago I was healed in less than a week of swelling of my legs, and the healing came through Christian Science treatment. I had received medical treatment for this trouble on two previous occasions, both times being laid up with it and the doctors pronouncing it a very serious case. Since my healing in Science I have had a slight attack, but am glad to say it was overcome in four treatments.

One day I ran a crochet hook deep down into my second finger, and the pain was so severe that I called to my daughter to help me get the hook out, but she was unable to do so. After asking her to help me declare the truth, I repeated the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468), and that "God is a very present help in trouble," with the result that in a short time all pain left. I was able to remove the hook easily, without experiencing any pain, and not a drop of blood showed.

For the help I have received in Christian Science I am more than grateful. I am deeply thankful to our Father, and also grateful to Mrs. Eddy.
