It will have to be admitted by every fair-minded investigator...

South Bend (Ind.) News-Times

It will have to be admitted by every fair-minded investigator that Christian Science has attracted people of intelligence and education to its fold ; that within practically half a century it has become known to all parts of the world; and that the works performed through its ministry are matters of universal and common knowledge. To say, then, as was said in a reported sermon, that Christian Science is a humbug, shows either a wilful determination not to give credit where credit is due, or that the clergyman failed properly to inform himself before attempting to criticize. Whether or not all investigators would agree with us that Christian Science is the restoration of primitive Christianity, could not be determined by argument, but it is an indisputable fact that hundreds of thousands of suffering, sin-sick mortals have proved its power to heal all manner of disease, to free the slave of false appetite, and to awaken a desire to be more godlike.
