I am so grateful and happy that I would like to tell others what Christian Science has done for me, what a wonderful change it has made in my life.

In the spring of 1914 I was taken suddenly ill one Saturday, and the following day a doctor was called. He said I was a very sick man, and the next day pronounced the ailment a severe case of acute lung trouble. On Wednesday he said he had done all he could for me, and told my wife to call in another physician to hold a consultation. Being then asked if I would accept Christian Science treatment, I said I would, so a practitioner's help was sought. The next morning I was able to get out of bed and have breakfast at the table. When the doctor called he was surprised to see such a change, but said I should not have gotten out of bed, as my heart was very weak. I did not take any more medicine, although the doctor called until Sunday, when he examined me and said that my heart stopped beating at times and I was liable to drop dead at any minute ; that if I would not obey his orders he would give up the case ; which he did.

Christian Science treatment was continued and the gain was rapid, so that within a few weeks I was able to go back to business. Through this healing I was also freed from the drink and tobacco habits, to which I had been subject for thirty-five years. Christian Science has helped me wonderfully in my daily work. My prayer is that I may always be led to realize the truth of what Jesus said to his disciples, "Whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." I am thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for this saving truth.—Emil Russ, Hoboken, N. J.
