Words can never express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I was without God and without religion; in fact I did not believe there was a God, because nothing had ever proved this to me. In various ways I had looked for this proof, but never got any satisfaction until my father was wonderfully healed through Christian Science treatment after a well-known physician in this city had pronounced him incurable. This healing proved to me that God is just what the Bible declares Him to be. Christian Science has revealed to me a God who is indeed our best friend, and it has given me a practical religion, one which affords absolute proof every day that it is the truth which our Master said would make us free.
Through Christian Science I have been healed both physically and mentally. In January, 1914, a severe attack of blood-poisoning was manifested in abscesses on various parts of the body. This disease was completely healed by Christian Science treatment, and no material remedies of any kind were used. My health has been perfect ever since. This healing meant a great deal to me, because it enabled me to realize what it means to have absolute reliance on God. For all these blessings I feel very grateful, but I am more thankful for the understanding of God that Christian Science has given me. This understanding, when put into practice, has brought a peace and happiness into my life that nothing can take away.—Frank Henshaw, Manchester, England.
