When in October, 1913, divine Love directed my steps to the door of a Christian Science practitioner, I was overcome with discouragement on account of business conditions, broken in health, and weakened in faith in God. An eminent specialist had told me that an operation was the only alternative from constant dependence upon drugs, enforced rest, and limited diet. Lovingly the first revelation of Truth came to me, and I walked from the practitioner's office a well man, with all fear destroyed and conscious of strength sufficient for the day. It was the beginning of my restoration, and though since that time minor discords have appeared from time to time, they have been quickly overcome, usually without the aid of a practitioner. Best of all has been the assurance of God's protecting care, with love for my neighbor and the privilege of telling what God has done and is doing for me. The day seems wasted that brings no friend to inquire the cause of the regained health and happiness which are so apparent.
I am grateful for the opportunity to read our Leader's writings, together with the Sentinel, Journal, and Monitor, regularly, also for the lectures printed in pamphlet form, and for membership both in a local church and in The Mother Church.—Thomas B. Fitzgerald, Camden, N. J.
