In gratitude to God I am glad to tell of my healing, with the hope that some other sufferer may be led to accept Christian Science. For more than a year I took medical treatment, first getting better, then worse again, till at last I was told that nothing could be done for me. An operation did no good, and the wound would not heal. I could not sleep, could hardly walk a block, and lost in weight. At last I went to a Christian Science practitioner, and from the first felt better.
Science and Health was then obtained and read together with the Bible, and I found myself gradually gaining; indeed, the more I read the better my condition became, until my usual good health was regained. My case had been pronounced a serious one, beginning with poisoning of the hand, and continuing until abscesses developed in my side. Thanks be to God, I am free from this trouble. I am a better man and understand the Bible better through the reading of Science and Health. I thank God and am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us how to know God aright.
