I desire to express my gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me through the ministration of Christian Science. I have been healed of coughs and colds, catarrh, a throat affection, and an eruption of the skin with accompanying symptoms much resembling small-pox, although the case was not diagnosed at the time. Typhoid fever in its most dangerous form was overcome in eighteen days, although the physician, called in compliance with the law, had said that recovery was doubtful. A periodical headache and stomach disorder, to which I had been subject for many years, disappeared without any special treatment therefor, simply as a result of a better thought gained from the daily study of the Bible in connection with our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I have been lifted above hatred, resentment, self-pity, discouragement, a belief of great injustice, and sorrow occasioned by the loss of a dear one, and for this help I am more grateful than for all the physical healing I have had.

I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, but for the clearing up of a number of mental problems with which I had been struggling for some time, all of which have been solved. For four years I have been interested in this truth which makes us free, and during this time it has never failed when there has been an honest application of its divine Principle. I am profoundly thankful to God, and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the understanding that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."—Agnes L.
