Every page of Mrs. Eddy's many books shows a studied desire to give to the world an understanding of spiritual truth and nothing else. Mrs. Eddy attacks no one's religion nor does she misrepresent it. Christian Science has reached the point where the most intelligent and devout stand in awe of it, for they see in it that which lays the axe at the very root of the tree of evil, a power over sin and disease which does not exist "in every human body," as our critic is reported to have said, nor in any human body, but only in that Mind which was in Christ Jesus, the Mind which demonstrates matter to be a phenomenon, even as modern physical scientists now admit it to be.

Christian Science vindicates itself to every sincere, humble seeker for Truth, in the overcoming of sin, sickness, disease, want, and woe of every description. The proofs of this fact can no longer be denied, and the world is rapidly escaping from that blind prejudice which has so long obscured the saving truth. Mrs. Eddy unselfishly gave her discovery to a waiting and hungry world, which was too darkened at first to comprehend her spiritual light, but which is now, in practically every country of the globe and in an ever increasing ratio, acknowledging the truth of her teaching.
