Christian Science does not teach the worship or following...
Parsons (Kan.) Sun
Christian Science does not teach the worship or following of any personality, but it sets forth the fundamental fact that God is the Principle and law of being, who creates, governs, guides, protects, and provides all sustenance for that which exists in fact. Christian Scientists turn to God in every time of trouble, realizing, as did the revelator, that "now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ." They love and esteem Mrs. Eddy because they have been set free from the bondage of disease and sin through her clear, spiritual interpretation of God's word as revealed in Holy Writ, but they do not follow or look to her personality for guidance. Mrs. Eddy's writings constantly and unswervingly point to Christ as the Messiah, or saving power.
