I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done for me and for my family, as well as for all mankind. A time came when it was thought necessary for me to have an operation. A sister asked me to try Christian Science first, but I was not then ready for it. This sister had been healed of a severe stomach disorder of many years' standing, but it seemed to me that my trouble could not be overcome. The operation was therefore performed, and was soon followed by a second, with no good results from either one. At last I was told medicine would do me no good and another operation worse than useless. After two more months of suffering I was again urged to try Science, and did so. We called a practitioner, and in three treatments I was healed.

Two years from this time the practitioner was called again, as I was in a delicate condition and dropsy had set in. For seven months I did not lie down in bed, but had to be propped up with pillows. Then, to please those who thought nothing was being done for me, a physician was called. He advised my husband to leave me in the practitioner's care, saying that if anything could save me Christian Science could. When the critical time came, every condition was normal. In three days I was dressed and around the house.

For ten years we have depended on Christian Science and have always received the needed help. No words can express my thankfulness to God, and I am indeed grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her work in revealing this truth.
