The gratitude that I feel for even my slight understanding of Christian Science, cannot be expressed in words. I was healed of tubercular disease of many years' standing, sleeplessness, stomach disorder, and extreme nervousness. I was never well until I came into Christian Science. From early childhood I suffered, and was unable to enjoy the things that make life pleasant for most children. My school work was wearisome and much of the time impossible. Three physicians pronounced my case incurable; also, the law of heredity was strongly held over me, as my mother, two sisters, and a brother had passed on with that disease.

I was healed by reading the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I had lost all faith in or desire for medicine long before I began studying this book. While my physical healing was wonderful, and caused much surprise among my friends, to me the most remarkable part was the overcoming of worry and fear. The peace and comfort which the understanding of Christian Science has given me while passing through the greatest trials of my life, is a glorious proof of the practicability of the promises contained in the Bible regarding God's presence and His power to govern our daily affairs. I earnestly desire to become a better Christian Scientist, that I may be a living testimony to this great truth.
