The Lectures

Clarence W. Chadwick delivered a lecture on Christian Science to a large and representative audience that crowded Armory Hall. He was introduced by Mayor W. P. Dunlavy, who said in part:—

I want to say that my attention has been called to the subject of Christian Science and its wonderful results. I have noticed also that this society is made up principally of our very best people,—thinking people, who study, are enthusiastic and in earnest. The professed Christian Scientists number hundreds of thousands, while those who are investigating it, aggregate many millions more. Surely this proves that it is founded upon the truth, and that there is good in it for all.

In early ages, healing was considered a miracle, and when I studied about these things a few years ago in Sunday school, there was some doubt in my mind as to the truth of miracles ever having been performed; but since then I have seen just as wonderful results through the medium of Christian Science, showing that God still remains with us, watches over us, and is always the same.—The Chronicle-News.
