[Written for the Sentinel]

Love's Bounty

This is the feast of Love, to know
The Father's bounty all doth feed;
That peace and joy forever flow,
All unconfined by doubt or creed.

Each claim of warring sense must melt
In the glad warmth of grace and praise;
No more the pang of hate be felt,
With Love the guardian of our ways.

When error speaks in thunder tone,
The clearer clarion Truth doth call;
For we are led by Love alone,
And Love is ruler over all.

And if we walk in pleasant ways,
Life's blessings hourly greater grown,
To the All-giver be the praise,
Since Love is mindful of its own.
