It is a pleasant duty to testify to the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science. In October, 1911, I became afficted with a diseased condition of the nasal passages and adjacent cavities, and had to have an immediate operation performed; but instead of being removed, the trouble grew worse. I was under medical treatment for two years, and during this time had to submit to three more operations. An air-cure which had been prescribed, and which, I had hoped, would bring an improvement, proved a failure. Upon the advice of our family physician I made another trial with one of the most eminent professors. After the first examination he held out to me the prospect of a cure within eight weeks, but when this time had elapsed, he informed me to my dismay of the necessity of another operation. This news almost drove me to despair, but an acquaintance who had found healing through Christian Science, told me of the benefits received from it.

I was, however, very diffident about going to a practitioner in Basel and asking for help, but when I left her, there was a sense of great hopefulness and of gratitude to God for the step which I had taken, and which was not to be followed by disappointment. From that hour on my trouble began to yield, and I gained the conviction that every ill can be healed in Christian Science through the power of God. With the loving help of a practitioner I was completely healed in two weeks' time.

Those who have experienced healing will be able to appreciate the sense of peace and happiness which has come to us through Christian Science. I give thanks to God, and am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
