Among the Churches

Current Notes

Walla Walla, Wash.—For a number of years it has been the practice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, to maintain a booth at the Walla Walla County fair, for the purpose of distributing authorized Christian Science literature, answering inquiries concerning Christian Science, and affording those who desire such, an opportunity to read the periodicals. The proof came on every hand that it is not always money that is needed to maintain the various activities in the cause of Christian Science, but always loving service. There were ordered for distribution 600 Monitors, and there were donated 244 Sentinels, 61 Journals, and 56 Monitors. At the close of the six days only 140 Monitors remained on hand, making the total number of pieces of literature distributed 821. Many were heard to praise the Monitor.

Correspondence.

Fargo, N. Dak.—The Christian Scientists have contributed to many cities an architecture as novel as their theology, and if the latter is as sound as the former is beautiful, it will surely pass muster. The church they have been erecting in Fargo is near enough to completion to show that there is nothing superior to it in the city, if there is in the state. Daily Courier-News.
