Under the headlines "Fees for Christian Science Healing Illegal," you run a press item from New York reporting the decision of the appellate division of the supreme court, sustaining a lower court which convicted a Christian Science practitioner for practising medicine without a license. Christian Science healing cannot be connected or associated with practice of medicine; in fact, Christian Science rejects the use of all material means. It is a result of the prayer which contains a scientific understanding of man's unity with God. If an understanding of the operation of divine law enabled Jesus to heal the sick, it should not be thought incredible for one with a knowledge of the same law to do the same work now. Truth and its manifestations are "the same yesterday, and today, and forever." He who gave the commands, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel," "Heal the sick," also declared, "The laborer is worthy of his hire."
