[Written for the Sentinel.]

THE PERFECT DAY

"In the eternal Mind, no night is there,"Science and Health, p. 511.
No darkness, weariness, nor wasting care.
No deep'ning shadows gather there. Alway
Doth shine the fadeless light of perfect day.

In Mind's encircling glories, wondrous fair,
There is no sorrow drear, nor hidden snare.
No blinding mists of doubt hang low. Alway
There shines the joyous light of endless day.

In perfect Mind, there's naught can life impair,
The living touch of Love is ev'rywhere.
All dark'ning fear is swept away. For aye
Doth shine the blessed light of Life's full day.
