I send with gratitude an honest acknowledgment of the many benefits received in Christian Science. I am glad to give out to others some of the experiences in which its teachings have been applied and proven true, knowing that if so much can be gained by even one, the same and even more may be gained by others. Some of the experiences in which we have proven the power of Truth were the so-called contagious diseases of children, accidents, coughs and throat trouble, besides a large scrofulous sore on my husband's back which had troubled him for eight years. This was overcome by Christian Science in three weeks. After the nature of the error was clearly seen, its nothingness was quickly proved.

More recently, one afternoon, while my husband and I and our two children were on a street-car, we had need to call upon Truth for help. My husband was sitting with one child cirectly under the cash-register, when all at once the register fell upon him with an awful blow. It almost stunned him, and there was need for instantaneous help. The first thought given me was from Science and Health (p. 201), where Mrs. Eddy says, "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thought." I voiced to him at once the first half of this assuring thought, till the conductor and motorman came and lifted the register, and I then continued to work along the line of truth thus given me. My husband was helped in a few minutes, after which we were transferred to another car-line. We were able to go on with our trip, and in about an hour he was perfectly free, and never has had the least bad effect from the accident.

This healing seemed wonderful to us, but the peace and quiet of mind in which we were all kept was even more significant, and we know that if the truth which Mrs. Eddy has brought anew to the whole world can do these things, it can and will do all things for those who receive and apply it. For these blessings we would express our thanks to God through the Sentinel, that others may receive the same help and be blessed thereby.
