My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the understanding of Truth's power gained from the Lesson-Sermon. I awakened one night with a severe attack of illness and great pain in the head, eyes, and limbs, and I treated myself nearly all night in Christian Science, but in the morning nothing definite had been accomplished, though I was relieved in a way. I finally took the Bible and Science and Health and with the Quarterly read the Lesson on "Adam and Fallen Man." When I had finished the third section I was healed. I was able to dress, go out to dinner, and attend the Wednesday evening meeting. Many times I have been helped in a similar manner while studying the LessonSermon. This proved to me that evil is an illusion of sense, which is destroyed by Christ, Truth, through the understanding gained in Christian Science.

I am very grateful for this new-old truth that our revered Leader was able to give us, her pure life having enabled her to hear the "still, small voice," and give us a fuller interpretation of the Scriptures.
