In writing this testimonial of gratitude for healing received through the ministrations of Christian Science, it is only possible for me to express a small part of the joy and blessings which have come to me in the last few years as a result of the physical and mental healing. From childhood I had suffered from an eruption on my face, and had doctored with many physicians for a number of years. I had also tried various medicines and home remedies, but without good results. I was healed of this through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," the Christian Science text-book, by Mrs. Eddy. With the aid of a kind practitioner I was healed of an acute attack of kidney trouble in a very short time. I have also been healed of nervous collapse, severe headaches, and some minor ills.

Early in my investigation of Christian Science this passage of Scripture would persistently follow and trouble me, "Come out from among them, and be ye separate;" and it was only through patient study of the Bible and Science and Health, and an intense yearning to understand the truth contained in the above statement, that its meaning dawned upon me. I saw that our greatest need is to think rightly, thereby giving up the "belief of life in matter" (Science and Health, p. 74), and all that it includes. With this understanding came a gradual unfolding of the truth in my consciousness, making it possible to meet and at least partially destroy evil suggestions, malice, envy, jealousy, etc., on the ground of their illegitimacy. I saw that they had no right to place or power in any one's thought.

I am thankful for the church privileges I enjoy and grateful to the readers and officers. I am also grateful for our publications, and for the dear faithful Sentinel with its weekly feast of good cheer. Above all, I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science, not only because it has brought me out of darkness into light, but for what it is doing for countless others in the same way.
