In Christian Science we learn that the truth is of God; hence its healing power. The spiritual and mental uplifting, the assurance of knowing that God does answer prayer, brings us nearer to Him than we ever were before, and we can realize the truth of Jesus' words, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Since coming into Christian Science I find myself free from many ills to which I was in bondage, and I am most grateful to Mrs. Eddy for that wonderful book Science and Health, which is indeed a "Key to the Scriptures."

About six years ago our little boy had a bad attack of mumps. My wife gave him treatment in Christian Science, and I proceeded to protect myself, for the thing we greatly fear generally comes upon us, and I had great fear of this disease. Next morning the swelling on the boy's face was not noticeable, and though he remarked that it felt queer, the discomfort was all gone by breakfast time.

In a few days I found that I had not eliminated all my own fear, for one morning I woke about four o'clock and found evidence of the disease. I did my mental work as well as I knew how, got up, ate breakfast, said nothing to the family, but on my way to work I stopped in a Scientist's office and talked with him a few minutes. He assured me there is but one creator and that His creation is perfect; he counseled me to do my part aright, and God would do the rest. By five o'clock that evening my trouble was over.

I cannot express my gratitude for the good Christian Science has done and is doing for me every day. Christian Science is a great help in every direction. As I am a contractor, I have all kinds of men in my employ, and I find Christian Science the best thing to use in settling any difference which may come up. I have learned that right thinking, based upon a truer knowledge of God, silences discord and brings harmony; that to know God better puts one in better condition to meet the world and to deal with the different phases of human experience. In my seven years' experience in this business, Christian Science has been a wonderful help; it is a religion for men in every line of business. We learn that all honest work is our Father's business, and the acquaintance with God which we gain in Science fits us to carry it on harmoniously and successfully.

To live Christian Science is a protection against all evil, and we can realize this here and now, for the closer we follow its teachings the better results we have. I am truly grateful for the knowledge I have of this truth.
