In February, 1909, I was engaged in blasting trees from Boulder river, and in handling the powder became what is known as "blasted," that is, blind, and suffered from the worst headaches I had ever known. I asked for help from my mother, who is a Christian Scientist, about eleven o'clock, and in forty-five minutes I was asleep and have never had a recurrence of this trouble, although I have since been engaged in handling powder.—W.
