We wish to express our gratitude for what Christian Science...

We wish to express our gratitude for what Christian Science has done for us, and especially for the healing of our little girl from as severe a case of brain and spinal trouble as I ever saw during the time I used to be a nurse. The child was taken ill on a Sunday, and our own treatment proving unavailing, we called in a Christian Science practitioner that night, whose help seemed to relieve the child somewhat. She took no nourishment, however, and had very little sleep up to Wednesday, when she suddenly took a turn for the worse and seemed to be failing fast. We had to call in another practitioner, as the first had gone out of town. When he arrived at three o'clock the child was in great pain. It had taken two of us to lift her from one bed to another during these three days and she could not bear to be touched. In exactly half an hour from the time that treatment began she was resting on her hands and knees in bed; and the next day she was up and dressed, entirely well!

Such a manifestation of God's power and presence makes us very humble, and very thankful for the lessons our Lord gave us during his ministry on the earth. It is no wonder all Christian Scientists express their gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful truth she has made so plain to us that we can use it in our daily need, whatever problem presents itself.—Mrs. Ernest H. Carlmark, West Orange, N. J.
