When Christian Science was first presented to me, a number of years ago, through the healing of a friend, I accepted it as a little child might, on trust; but I soon found that I must study, if I would understand what I was relying on. Through the study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I came to know God as my only and sufficient reliance. I was healed of the need of wearing glasses, which I had used for eight years, and of several more or less serious troubles, and then followed the slower healing of a sense of bondage to personality, of a mistaken sense of duty.

For the past seven years I have not missed a meal or an hour of sleep on account of sickness, and for the past five years the way has been growing so much brighter that each week I feel like repeating in our testimony meeting that the week just past has brought me many fresh blessings.

The privilege of class instruction from one of Mrs. Eddy's students brought a great uplift. Each year brings me a fuller appreciation of our Leader's work, of her wisdom and foresight in each step she bids us take, and it is a pleasure to see the world at large coming to recognize its debt to her.
