I can truly say that God has delivered me from the bondage of sickness, and I am glad to testify to my deliverance from the many ills with which I was beset. For over twenty years I had been under a doctor's care, having one sickness after another, until it seemed there could be nothing more for me to experience. For sixteen years I suffered from a severe stomach trouble, the result of a critical operation. Eleven years later I experienced another operation, but this only relieved me for a short time. During this time I hardly knew what a night's sleep was.

Two years ago one lung was said to be affected, my heart weakened, and my nervous system shattered. As the doctor advised, I spent the summer in the country and the following winter at a sanitarium, returning very much improved in health. Only a few weeks had elapsed, however, before all the old conditions returned. The doctor advised another winter at the sanitarium, saying that I would probably be obliged to go there for several winters. In despair, and in spite of my bitter prejudice, I then turned to Christian Science as a last resort, and asked a friend to take me to a practitioner to be healed. In the first treatment I was healed of the stomach trouble. I have also been perfectly healed of the lung trouble. When I began to take Christian Science treatment I was trying the outdoor cure, but in a short time I was able to sleep in the house with perfect freedom, and I also gained flesh. This healing came in the very locality where I thought I could not live. After several months of treatment I was also healed of a bowel disorder of years' standing, a disease of the feet, and backache, glasses worn constantly for sixteen years were laid aside, and today I am a normal, healthy woman, doing my own housework, which I had not done before for years.

Christian Science has healed me physically and mentally, and for all this healing I am very grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, who through her loyalty to Principle has given us Science and Health, the book that is a constant source of blessing to me.
