In all her instruction, Mrs. Eddy has persistently turned thought away from personality to divine Principle, and her life and example have been consistent therewith. Christian Scientists revere and love her for her consecrated life and selfless example, and individually feel a great sense of gratitude for the benefits received. She never claimed to have discovered anything new, but only to have discovered the Principle by and through which Jesus accomplished his healing work. This Principle she made known to the world through the text-book of the denomination, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This book has multiplied the number of consecrated and devout students of the Bible, from which source she drew the inspiration for her great life-work.

Her sole ambition was to uplift humanity, and that her efforts were successful has been attested by the thousands upon thousands who have been redeemed from sin and all manner of disease. Her mission will live and speak for her always, and the world will never be able to pay the debt of gratitude it owes her for the corrected lives of countless men and women, which makes for a better humanity. Philosophies founded upon human hypotheses come and go, but a religion that is based upon the teachings of Christ Jesus, proving its ministry by its works, will stand forever, and Christian Science will continue in the future as in the past, to bless and heal mankind.
