The students of Christian Science admit in all humility...

Dundee (Scot.) Advertiser

The students of Christian Science admit in all humility that they are taking only the first steps in this new-old path. They have no quarrel with those who are doing their best to help the world by other methods, nor do they try to induce those who are satisfied by these methods to resort to Christian Science. Cures have been effected in this present age which to those who have not studied this subject would appear miraculous, and we are convinced that the time will come when our Lord's prediction will be fulfilled: "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

We are convinced that the miracles recorded in the gospels were not brought about by any special intervention of Providence—that is, through the breaking of law—but were performed through a clear perception of the fundamental governing law of the universe, the nature of God. This law is of course equally available today. God changes not; it is we who must put off our false beliefs in order to become conscious of His power and presence.
