In the spring of 1909 I had a very bad fall and injured my left side severely. I was unable to breathe and lost consciousness three times, suffering greatly at each return. A Christian Science practitioner was then called, and I was immediately relieved. I passed a comfortable night, and the next morning was able to dress and take the car to my mother's home in a distant part of the city. In five days I was completely healed, all pain, soreness, and swelling having been overcome. I was also conscious of a great spiritual uplifting at this time, such as I had never experienced before. I have had many evidences of the healing power of Truth, but this was to me a most wonderful proof. I have been healed of a chronic bowel disorder, painful corns, quick temper, great mental depression, and fear of a so-called inherited disease.
I am indeed grateful to God for the many blessings that have come to me in Christian Science, also to our dear Leader, for it is through her teachings that we are able to receive these blessings which are ever at hand. My desire is daily to live this truth.
Mrs. Clara J. Lewis, Oshkosh, Wis.
