I am very grateful for Christian Science. I know this...

I am very grateful for Christian Science. I know this truth is a blessing to mankind, that its law is the law of growth and progress and fulfilment; that it admits of no discouragement, but brings to all honest seekers that peace "which passeth all understanding." I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing for myself, but for a dear one. All that could be done in a material way by the best physicians here and elsewhere had failed. Each day new remedies or methods were used without finding relief, the patient only growing worse. As a last hope we were asked to try Christian Science, and through it we indeed found the "great Physician."

Then came also my healing. I was a great sufferer from severe headaches and nervous troubles, at times losing the use of my hands. Every treatment known to us was given me, but it was of no avail. All I could see before me was the loss of the use of my hands. I dreaded the nights, wondering what condition I would be in the next morning; but I was healed in Christian Science with a very few treatments, and being a physician's daughter, this was marvelous to me. I also found I needed spiritual healing far more, and this truth has led me to find a pearl of priceless value, in being able to understand the Bible better. I have learned in Christian Science that good is ever operative through man when the human consciousness is responsive to the divine Mind. It is daily teaching me to eliminate self, to cast out the fear of criticism, to be loving and lovable, and to do to others as I would have others do to me.

God has abundantly blessed me in all my efforts, and my daily prayer is that I may be worthy to tell some one of the abundance of the Christ-joy. I am grateful to God, also to our dear Leader for the Manual and all our literature.—Mrs. Edda K. Iliff, Indianapolis, Ind.
