For eight years before I knew anything of Christian Science, I had been suffering from a complication of diseases which the physicians said could not be cured by materia medica. I was a sufferer from varicose veins, this trouble being in so aggravated a form that I could not get a rubber stocking large enough to wear comfortably. I also suffered from a chronic bowel disorder and severe headaches. Dropsy also had set in, and I was beyond the help of human skill.

I was thoroughly healed by Christian Science of all these ailments in fourteen treatments, and I have been a happy and well woman ever since. For the past ten years I have been reading the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and they have been my daily food during that time. These words in Science and Health have been a great comfort to me in time of need: "The realization that all inharmony is unreal brings objects and thoughts into human view in their true light, and presents them as beautiful and immortal" (p. 276).

I certainly feel grateful to God for what Christian Science has done for me, and I am thankful to Mrs. Eddy, who has brought the light of Truth to the world at this time.
