I wish to tell others what a change Christian Science has...
I wish to tell others what a change Christian Science has brought about in my life. I was led to it for physical aid about two and a half years ago, through the understanding of an aunt who is a Scientist. I had been in poor health for over four years with stomach trouble and its accompanying bad effects, and had lost all faith in material means when I turned to Christian Science for help. I wrote to my aunt to give me treatment, which she did for three or four months. I improved slowly, but was very anxious to learn more of Christian Science, so in March, 1909, I made a trip to see my aunt, and also attended two Christian Science services. I was very much impressed with the services and also with the Scientists whom I met. They received me cordinally and I thought they had the happiest faces I had ever seen.
I had a great desire to be a Christian, to know the truth, and I felt that this was the religion for which I was seeking; so I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, also a Quarterly, and was given some literature. I also subscribed for the Sentinel, and began to study Christian Science. The good I have obtained from this study is more than I am able to express in words. My general health is better than it has been for years, and the spiritual healing, the joy and peace that have come into my life, is beyond expression. I have not used any material remedies whatever since I began this study, and I have had some beautiful demonstrations for myself and husband, for which I am thankful. I have yet some obstacles to overcome, but one by one they are leaving, and instead comes the peace that passeth understanding.—Mrs. Bernice Bonds, Kensett, Ark.
