Having received much help and encouragement from...
Having received much help and encouragement from the testimonies in the Sentinel, I can no longer refrain from offering mine to others in the spirit of thanksgiving for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine. Five years ago this great truth found me ill with constant suffering from neuralgia, throat trouble, and severe stomach and bowel affections. I did not seek the truth until all material remedies had been exhausted, and I was then healed in one treatment of the throat trouble, which was in a most aggravated form. I laid aside glasses which I had worn for ten years, after reading Science and Health for four weeks, and the neuralgia has gradually disappeared into its native nothingness.
Nearly every member of my family has experienced the healing power of Truth, in one way and another. A little nephew, who is now over three years old, was born with one foot crippled. A surgeon was consulted when he was six months old, who said it might require two operations to straighten it, and he would not promise that the same would accomplish the desired end. The child wore a braced shoe for a little time; but Christian Science was finally resorted to, with the result that when he was twenty months old his little foot was normal, so that it was difficult for his mother to remember which one had been deformed.
Christian Science has enlarged my usefulness and taught me that there is nothing too difficult for us to accomplish, nothing too high for us to attain, since God is our strength and intelligence. For this knowledge, and all the blessings that follow in its wake, I am profoundly grateful to dear Mrs. Eddy.—Anna J. Nicholas, Chicago, Ill.
