I have every reason to be grateful for Christian Science

I have every reason to be grateful for Christian Science. I was not considered strong, and had a doctor attending me very often. He said my heart was weak, and I was weak, and I was obliged to take a great quantity of medicine, besides using other material remedies. After I began to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and to realize the truth of being, I was able to give up all medicines, and have had good health since. Not only for the physical healing am I grateful, but for the beautiful peace I have gained and the brighter outlook on life. Before I knew of Christian Science life to me seemed dark, but now it is quite different, believing as I do that nothing is real but good, and that evil has no power. Now I knew, as Mrs. Eddy writes on page 6 of Science and Health, that " 'God is Love.' More than this we cannot ask, higher we cannot look, farther we cannot go." I feel deeply grateful to our Leader for this healing truth.

May Dickason, Uddingston, Scotland.

Over six years ago, while on a holiday in the north of Scotland, I first heard of Christian Science through a casual and unexpected meeting with some friends from London. They were not Christian Scientists, but said that Christian Science healing was being talked of in London at that time, and they advised my sister to try it as a possible remedy for long and trying suffering from chronic illness, to endure which meant constant recourse to material means, with only occasional and temporary relief. We followed up our friends' information, and got the book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and by its first perusal my sister was cured, while to me it brought the glad tidings that reason and revelation are reconcilable and that Christianity can really be a practical help.
