For a long time I have been impressed with a desire to tell what Christian Science has done for me. Through reading Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I received my healing. About six years ago I became ill, and immediately sought all medical means available, but without receiving relief. The doctors pronounced the disease and spinal trouble, which affected me in such a way as to render me unable to walk. After several months' treatment with the various doctors, and not noticing any improvement, I became discouraged and gave them up.

Shortly after this, a friend brought me a copy of Science and Health, and after a time I was induced to read it, becoming more and more interested as I progressed. As the truth dawned upon me that physical suffering was due to mental conditions, I began to apply the truth in my daily life, and I grew, as it were, into peace and harmony. I realized with the Psalmist, that "he that dwelleth in the the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." From that time I noticed a gradual improvement in my general health, and I am now able to do all my household work with ease and pleasure.

I cannot say too much for Science and Health and what it has done for me. It has restored my health and taught me how to keep well. I am grateful to God for all blessings, and to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way out of mental bondage,—Mrs. Carrie Peterson, Portland, Ore.
