In an unusual address delivered before the New York County Lawyers' Association at the Hotel Astor recently, Samuel Untermyer advocated the absolute abolition of what he described as "the financial device known as 'the holding company,' " describing it as a "recent financial abomination" and one of the most prolific means of oppression of the investing public.
A student's
love for Christian Science can safely be measured by his love for The Mother Church and its branches, and this love will find natural expression and activity in the particular branch to which he belongs.

writers who pose as critics of Christian Science have sought to differentiate between Christianity and Christian Science, but in doing this they have utterly ignored the best dictionary definitions of Christianity and at the same time have shown their ignorance of Christian Science.

through the Scriptures light is presented as a symbol of the divine manifestation, from the flat, "Let there be light," up to the statement in the Apocalypse that the city of God had no need of sun or moon, "for the glory of God did lighten it.
Nothing
becomes more manifest, as one studies the Master's life, than that from the beginning he was entirely sure of the adequacy of the remedy he offered for the healing of the ills of humanity, and that the impress of his words and works upon the open-minded about him was such as to beget in them the same positive assurance.
