At the age of twenty-one I became ill, and at twenty-six severe asthma was added, which lasted up to the time when I became an adherent of the teachings of Christian Science. During this long period medical treatment as well as the water-cure were resorted to in vain. A physician declared that the trouble was incurable, but today I can state, with a heart filled with gratitude, that God has restored me to health through Christian Science. It has also brought me much comfort during the severe trials through which I have had to pass, especially during the last few years, and which I could not have endured without God's help.
