Edinburgh (Scot.) Dispatch

Once a man admits that infinite Spirit or Mind is the creating, regenerating power of the universe, and that through a condition of mind which we may call faith or spiritual understanding, he can come into actual touch with that life-giving Spirit, and so experience what St. Paul calls transformation by the renewing of the mind; further, if he will admit that that mental transformation or regeneration can and does produce a corresponding effect upon the body, then he has admitted the possibility of healing by Christian Science; and who shall venture to draw the line, and say how far that renewing of mind and body can go?

Once more let it be repeated that Christian Science does not claim to work any miracles. No Christian Scientist flatters himself that by anything he can say or think he can interrupt the laws of the universe or change the purpose of the Almighty. But he does find that he can learn to know enough of the goodness and all-power of God to gain a large measure of freedom from fear and sin, and that the mental peace he thus attains sets the body also free from suffering and disease.

That many who see the results without understanding the process should attribute these results to something else is not surprising. But, in view of the ever-increasing mass of evidence in favor of healing by spiritual methods alone, we can afford to wait patiently to see the effect this evidence will produce upon the public mind in the near future.
