I am deeply grateful to God for all the benefits I have received, and am still receiving, through Christian Science. About twelve or thirteen years ago I had a long illness, which left me with a weak heart, weak eyes, etc., and an internal trouble which finally developed into a serious kidney affection. Five and a half years ago I heard of Christian Science, and was given the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," to read. I did not think at the time of being healed, but the inspiring thoughts that the book presented appealed to me. After I had been reading in it for a few weeks I found I could not see with my glasses, and thought that I should again need stronger ones. Then it occurred to me to try to see without them; that perhaps my eyes were cured. They were cured, and I have never worn my glasses since that day. The other troubles all left me in a few weeks, just with the reading of this book.

I am now well and strong, and able to be a help instead of a burden to those around me. I am very deeply grateful for this healing, but I am more grateful still for the help I get in living my daily life. I pray for more understanding, so that I may be worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.
